In addition to providing management information, this publication also discusses identification, biology and behavior of pests and other life forms commonly encountered by this industry.

This course is intended to help you understand the Federal and State of Washington pesticide laws, regulations, and practices necessary for the safe, effective use and distribution of pesticides. The Washington State Department of Agriculture bases its Laws and Safety and Dealer Manager exams which you are required to pass to obtain a pesticide license (depending on your goal of practicing as a consultant, commercial applicator, operator, or dealer-manager) on the information covered in this course which is based on the publication entitled Washington Pesticide Laws and Safety (EM012).
